A Queensland couple were devastated when they were told one of their twins had stopped breathing and wasn’t going to make it.
Out of pure desperation, first-time mum Kate Ogg grabbed her baby boy from the doctor and held him close to her chest.
Her husband joined her on the hospital bed and the heartbroken couple embraced their lifeless son Jamie, savouring his final moments.
Then, something incredible happened – Jamie started breathing and moving his little body.
Doctors rushed back and brought the baby back to life, The Daily Mail reports.
Born at 26 weeks two minutes before his sister Emily, the twins are now thriving five-year-olds.
Mrs Ogg says their story is a prime example of the importance of skin-to-skin contact.
